Currently undergraduate student of Mechanical Engineering course at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. I am in the last semester of University, doing my final project in combustion area. The work consists in the implementation of the FGM (Flamelet Generated Manifold) method into OpenFOAM. The implementation aims to provide combustion results which are very similar to those obtained using standard methods (transport equations solution), however, with a substantial decrease of computational time.
