Livia Jatoba is a Chemical Engineer and completed her doctorate in 2014 at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She has been working with OpenFOAM since 2008.
During her graduation she chose to focus her studies in the area of Transport Phenomena. The interest in Numerical Methods and Computational Fluid Dynamics was the natural path in acquiring expertise in this field and OpenFOAM was the right tool to develop new methods. Her graduation was focused on the numerical method development for the solution of complex multicomponent mass transport and she also has expecience in multiphase flow. Livia is currently working on the CFD simulation of turbomachinery for applications.
