I have obtained my PhD in July 2013 from University of Southampton, UK. My PhD topic was DNS of Combustion. I developed an existing code by adding subroutines dealing with real properties of species in the Navier-Stokes equations. The solution was performed for a temporal mixing layers in a simple box-type geometry. Boundaries at two sides were considered to be periodic whereas the vertical boundaries considered to be non-periodic. Currently, I am working in a company which designs flares (mainly for offshore platforms) and I wanted to become familiar with OpenFoam in order to do simple simulations either CFD-type ones for the flow and combustion or Stress Analysis for the flare body.
