This bug was discussed in [1]:
In Version 1.2 dieselFoam only writes the positions of the particles. This can be fixed by going to src/lagrangian/basic/Cloud/Cloud.H and declare writeFields() and readFields() as virtual:

Then recompile OpenFOAM.
