First Israel OpenFOAM® user group meeting

The first Israeli OpenFOAM® user group meeting will take place in the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, room 118 (conference room) on 30/7, 9:30-12:30 . This will be a kickoff meeting of Israeli OF users for future reference and possible collaboration. There is still an option to present your group’s experience and work. The present plan for the meeting is:

10:00 -10:20 presentation - Philipp Hofemeier, Technion biofluids laboratory

10:20 -10:40 presentation - Alex Landsberg, Eshkol/IAI, installation and compilation of OF on Infiniband Intel i7 HPC Cluster - application and comprehensive evaluation of OF for Aerospace Industrial full aircraft configurations - insight on bad drag accuracy of OF solvers

10:40 -11:00 presentation - Elie Friedman, IAI, towards accurate OF RANS flow solver: recent improvement of OF by IAI C++ implementation of the 2nd order accurate scheme AeroFoam - comparison with the IAI in-house structured 3rd order accuracy RANS code NES and with the DLR TAU unstructured code on a transonic 2D airfoil and a transonic Onera M6 wing
