1 Year 2012

A meeting was held during the 7th OpenFOAM Workshop (Technische Universität Darmstadt, Darmstadt, Germany), on June 28.

There were presentations and discussions about the mixingPlane interface available under the git branch mixingPlane_RC1 under OpenFOAM-1.6-ext. The slides that were presented during the meeting are available under Workshop-Documents/CommunityDay/SIG_Turbo .

Agenda of the meeting:

The discussions were quite interesting about the behaviour of the current implementation of the mixingPlane interface during the meeting. Comments and inputs are welcomed.

2 Year 2011

A meeting was held during the 6th OpenFOAM Workshop (Penn State University, State College, Pennsylvania, USA), on June 16.

There has been an update on the mixingPlane interface development for steady-state computations and on the Timisoara Swirling Flow Test Rig Case-Study.

3 Year 2010

A meeting was held during the 5th OpenFOAM Workshop in Gothenburg, Sweden, on June 24, 2010. For more informations, see the Working Group Activities.

Two were two new testcases, the Timisoara Swirl Generator and the Single Pump Channel. More information can be found here: Timisoara Swirl Generator and Single Channel Pump.

There was an update for ERCOFTAC centrifugal pump with a vaned diffuser case-study. More information can be found here: ERCOFTAC centrifugal pump with a vaned diffuser.

The OpenFOAM Cavitation Modelling Working Group has started, as a subgroup activity of Hydro and Ship Hydro WGs.

4 Year 2009

A meeting was held during the Fourth OpenFOAM workshop in Montreal, Canada, on June 4 2009.

The second testcase is the ERCOFTAC centrifugal pump with a vaned diffuser case-study. More information can be found here: ERCOFTAC centrifugal pump with a vaned diffuser.

5 Year 2008

A meeting was held at the Turbomachinery session of the Third OpenFOAM workshop in Milano, July 10-11, 2008. The talks presented in the Turbomachinery session are directly available through Workshop Sessions

6 Year 2007

The group was officially started at the second OpenFOAM workshop in Zagreb, 2007.

7 Year 2006

The planning of the group started at the first OpenFOAM workshop in Zagreb, 2006.
