My work is to create multi-sensory virtual environments where 3 senses mostly dominate: vision, audition and olfaction. To this end simulation of a gas (or smell) to a room is necessary in order to estimate temporal/spatial characteristics of the gas concentration and be able to decide if the user perceives the olfactory stimuli or not.
