I was not aware of that one. Actually I started this script to calculate a time average free surface elevation. An idea to combine this all into one python-tool 'postIsoSurface' or something like that? Any advise comments on the python-script itself are more than welcome.

May I just note, that an example on how to get out a single number (minimum and maximum height of the surface - OK. That's two numbers) can be found in swak4Foam (Examples/other/capillaryRise). This method builds on the same isoSampledSurface-machinery but does the calculations in memory
